Questions of patriotism and of terrorism—the domestic variety—are now dominating the airwaves. Yes, the economy’s bad but perhaps not bad enough to drown out the guilt by association narrative being trumpeted by Sarah Palin and John McCain. But McCain and Palin have their own baggage. Why aren’t we hearing about it? Today on GRITtv JOE CONASON, CHOIRE SICHA, and LOGAN NAKYANZI POLLARD look at the power of partisan media and where that power actually lies. Is it a level playing field or do right wing talking points i.e., Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, the word Hussein dig deeper than McCain’s Iran Contra ties and Sarah Palin’s secessionist past?

Where is the moral compass of journalism news? If I want to get facts and not slants, what sources would your panelists agree sits more middle of the road and would they say TV is more or less biased in its news delivery than newspaper sources?

Agreed. I’d like to know why we don’t hear more of Laura Flanders at sites like DailyKos or Crooks and Liars. This show without fail always gives me something new to think about. Laura’s perspicacious questions, her choice of guests, the time allotted a subject, all these and more recommend the show to anyone interested in more than surface treatment and ’spin’.
