I could only bear to watch for about 10 minutes, but I just had to stop, otherwise I would have had nightmares tonight. Imagine putting Judith Miller together with Tariq Ali ??!!

I don’t know if any of you noticed, but Dr. Ali looked from the beginning like he almost couldn’t bear to be in the same room with that woman, much less try to “debate” with her. Personally, I’d at least like to muss up her hair!

Lisa, could you ask Judith about the Commerce Dept’s indictment about US dual purpose electronics being used for the IED’s and EFP’s killing our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan…?

sometimes the sound is down when we are just setting up the lights, and putting mikes on the guests and other tv tech activities…could that be what you saw but did not hear?
We just had 20 minutes of sound up . . . great media chatty sound. This was a great panel today (and you can see it at this spot tonight at 8p)

I used to trust the NYT, and “journalism” like Ms. Miller’s on the Iraq invasion is responsible for my disillusionment.

I agree. Judith Miller is a failed journalist. Her reporting for the New York Times on the run up to the Iraq War was most regrettable and is now a continuing source of embarassment for the Times. But we live in a shameless age.

I do not ‘believe’ in debate, however I do appreciate and welcome (and even enjoy) reasonable and thoughtful debate.
