The American News Project reports on the Family Research Council’s Value Voters Summit in Washington, D.C. In the exhibition hall, where a number of conservative organizations displayed their products, the ANP spoke to the makers of ‘Obama Waffles,’ a so-called satirical gag that draws on almost every racial stereotype in the books. Bob DeMoss and Mark Whitlock who came up with the idea are surprised to find that their waffles and the imagery of Obama could be considered racist. Their testimony makes the notion that we’ve somehow transcended race seem rather absurd.
