As to the Supreme Court argument (which is the one progressives always wind up clinging to when it becomes clear that, once again, their chosen Dem. ain’t no progressive but just another corp. yes man), it is interesting that he points out that even Clinton appointees have gone pro-business. In other words, don’t count on a Dem. to save your legal bacon.

Too bad Mr. Hightower, when even a guy like you can’t bring yourself to support a real progressive who holds all the positions you champion, because (s)he isn’t a “major candidate”.

In fact, earlier today I realized that I should like to see some of the other headliners at FDL appear with you when especially important ‘events’ might suggest a timely opportunity. What brought this to mind was the discussion on empty wheel’s second Addington-Yoo post when she and Mary, whose deep insights into the events surrounding the ‘Torture Memo’ and its ‘implementation’ revealed absolutely astounding information about a number of the ‘players’.

A longer dialogue, between empty wheel and Mary, with your most able assistance and egually deep insight into human behavior would, I am certain, add considerable understanding to a deliberately complex and confusing, not to say intentionally convoluted, end-run around the law and fundamental human decency.
